Our wines
High quality wines since 1927
26 hectares of vineyards
The impressive wine cellar was restored in the early 2000 and it dates back to the sixteenth century – it is certainly one of the oldest in San Floriano which has miraculously escaped the ravages of the World Wars.
We welcome our guests and friends for tastings among exposed stone walls and vaulted ceilings, and wooden barrels in which red wines rest and grow. The modern and technologically advanced wine cellar run by Ivan, Fabijan and Elija and, occasionally, by a trusted winemaker is harmoniously connected to the ancient one. It is equipped with tanks in temperature-controlled stainless steel and it also has oak barrels for ageing of specific white wines. The production of about 130,000 bottles combines tradition with innovation. Autochthonous Malvasia, Ribolla Gialla and Friulano, plus the passito wine Picolit, join the French vines in the late-nineteenth-century import – Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Chardonnay among the whites, and Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with red grape.
Our activities in the improvement and innovation of our product never stop. That is why in recent years we have acquired some experimental tanks for microvinifications where we check the results obtained by new forms of winemaking with wine-making and wine-growing tests before applying them to real-scale winemaking.
